The Chetna Project
For the next three years, Under the Canopy will underwrite a unique educational
program in the heart of India’s cotton growing region. The program, which is
to be administered through Prakruthi (which means nature), a local charitable
organization established in 1991, is dedicated to the improvement of future
prospects for children, especially girls in tribal communities that depend solely
on their agricultural activities. The goal is to promote a sense of responsibility,
creating a future society that is both environmentally friendly & highly productive.
